Kiwanis Club Of Klang's Christmas Party At Hospital Tengku Ampuan Rahimah
The warm spirit of the holiday season once again brought us to our annual Christmas visit to the Hospital Tengku Ampuan Rahimah in Klang. This tradition has become an essential part of our holiday celebrations, where we aim to spread joy and hope to the pediatric patients and staff during this festive time. This year will be a special year as we have 11 Taiwan district Kiwanians joining us the visit. It is an honour to have the Governor of Taiwan district and our Governor of Malaysia district to assist us in this event. As we entered the hospital, we were greeted by the Head Nurse Sister Matron Anne, she has done a fantastic arrangement by getting the hospital security to usher the bus of our Taiwan delegates into the hospital and getting her nurses to arrange and allocate the presents to the wards. While we were entering the ward, there stands a beautiful Christmas tree filled with beautiful twinkling lights and festive decorations that adorned the hallways. The atmosphere was filled with a sense of anticipation and excitement. As we walk in to the pediatric wards, we see children faces lit up with smiles as we handed out the gifts. The joy and laughter that filled the room were truly heart-warming. Some of us had a casual chat with the parents who were spending the holidays in the hospital taking care of the child. We shared stories and offered words of encouragement. It was touching to see how our presence brought a sense of comfort and companionship to those who needed it the most. The staff members, who work tirelessly to provide care and support, were also not forgotten. We made sure to express our gratitude for their dedication and hard work throughout the year by giving them some nice chocolates. As we concluded our visit, we couldn't help but reflect on the importance of giving back to the community. This annual tradition reminds us of the power of compassion and the difference we can make in the lives of others. It's not just about the gifts or the festivities, but about the connections we forge and the hope we bring. We look forward to continuing this cherished tradition in the years to come, knowing that our small acts of kindness can create lasting impacts. Merry Christmas to all, and may the spirit of the season continue to inspire us to spread love and joy wherever we go.
Kiwanis Club Of Klang's Christmas Party with The Yellow Little Stars Orphanage
This year, our annual Christmas party with the orphanage will be the most memorable. The home has changed its name from ‘Pertubuhan Kebajikan Kanak-Kanak Selangor’ to ‘The Little Yellow Stars’ in conjunction with this also the official launching of the new extension bedrooms, new bathrooms and food storage area. Taking this opportunity during this festive season we had put up a heart-warming and joyous party at the home. The festive spirit was in the air as we gathered to celebrate the season of giving and togetherness with the children and caretaker of the orphanage. The organising team headed to the home earlier to setup the decorations, setting up food and gifts tables. Volunteers and children alike adorned the space with twinkling lights, colourful ornaments, and 2 magnificent Christmas trees that stood as the entrance of their home. The atmosphere was filled with laughter, holiday music, and the excited chatter of the children. The event was special that we have the Taiwan District Kiwanians visiting as well. As all arrived, we kicked off with our Santa riding down the road with his huge beautiful motorbike coming in greeting the children. While Santa is busy chatting with everyone, we have the meals given out to the children. By request they had McDonald’s value meal sets for their lunch and as for desserts we have some ice cream sticks, apple strudel and also some chocolates. The children enjoyed the meal with glee, their faces lighting up with every bite. After the meal, the children queued in line to collect their presents, then entertainment began. They gathered round to play games and more gifts were given. There were performances by the children, who sang Christmas carols that brought smiles to everyone's faces. We also took some time taking a tour of the home with our Taiwan delegates, showing them the new bedrooms and bathrooms that we have built for the children. We also look at the new food storage area where the racking is sponsored by Hyperack, appreciate their contribution. As the event came to a close, it was evident that the day had been a resounding success. The children were beaming with happiness, and the volunteers were filled with a sense of fulfilment and gratitude for the opportunity to bring joy to these young lives. Our annual Christmas party with the orphanage is more than just a celebration; it is a reminder of the importance of community, kindness, and the spirit of giving. We look forward to continuing this cherished tradition for many years to come, creating lasting memories and spreading love during the festive season.
