#KidsNeedComputers
Transforming the Lives of Children Help put computers in the hands of our most disadvantaged children to support their online learning classes. With schoolchildren kept away from schools once again under MCO 3.0, children from low-income families are struggling to keep up with online lessons due to the lack of devices and internet connections. Education is a fundamental right, and no child should be left behind simply because they lack the necessary tools. Our Mission "Kids Need Computers" aims to change this reality by setting an ambitious target of supplying 1,000 tablets to families in need. These tablets will be a beacon of hope, enabling children to participate in online classes and continue their education uninterrupted. A single tablet can benefit multiple children within a family, making each donation have a profound and lasting impact. How You Can Help We ask the public to donate generously to this cause. A donation of RM 850 will purchase a tablet equipped with a prepaid chip for three months of usage. By donating one unit, you are not just giving a device; you are providing a gateway to knowledge, opportunities, and a brighter future for these children. Why It Matters The ongoing pandemic has highlighted the digital divide, with children from low-income families being the hardest hit. Without access to computers or the internet, these children risk falling behind their peers, widening the educational gap. By providing tablets, we are giving them the tools they need to succeed in their studies and beyond. The Multiplier Effect Each tablet donated has the potential to serve multiple children in a household, amplifying the positive impact of your contribution. This means your generosity will not just change one life but can touch the lives of several children, fostering an environment where learning and growth are possible. Join Us We are calling on the Malaysian public to open their hearts and contribute to this noble cause. Your donation can make a significant difference in the lives of children who need it the most. Together, we can ensure that no child is left behind in their educational journey. Help us reach our goal of 1,000 tablets. Donate now and be a part of this transformative initiative. Your kindness can light up the path to a better future for our children. Every contribution counts. Together, we can make a difference.
Rebuild Persatuan Kebajikan Kanak-Kanak Selangor
A Call for Compassion Help Us Rebuild Persatuan Kebajikan Kanak-Kanak Selangor Nestled in the suburb of Taman Klang Utama, the Persatuan Kebajikan Kanak-Kanak Selangor has been a beacon of hope for children from financially challenged families since the early 2010s. The Kiwanis Club of Klang proudly supports this home and has established a K-Kids club that has thrived for the past six years. In 2014, a fire devastated parts of the home. Thanks to the overwhelming generosity of the community, we were able to rebuild the damaged areas. However, disaster struck again in 2021. The floods ravaged Taman Klang Utama, severely affecting the home. Tragically, the same year, the prime caretaker of the home passed away due to COVID-19 complications, plunging the home into chaos. Volunteers stepped up to manage the home, but without prior experience, the challenges were immense. The situation worsened as floodwaters damaged the food storage and a rodent infestation ensued. Despite these setbacks, the spirit of the home remained unbroken. Your Help is Needed We estimate that refurbishing the home will cost approximately RM 70,000. We invite you to contribute to making this home livable once again for these children. Our Objective The Kiwanis Club of Klang is spearheading this crowdfunding project to refurbish the home, ensuring the well-being of the children who live there. With the help of an anonymous donor, initial cleanup work has begun, but we need additional funds to complete the refurbishment. The children have been temporarily relocated to a nearby house during the renovation. We have engaged architects to design a layout that maximizes space, planning to furnish the home with bunk beds, mattresses, pillows, blankets, and personal lockers for each child. How You Can Help Your generosity can help us create a safe, comfortable environment for these children to thrive. Together, we can restore their home and give them a brighter future. Please consider making a donation and becoming a part of this compassionate mission.
