This year, our annual Christmas party with the orphanage will be the most memorable. The home has changed its name from ‘Pertubuhan Kebajikan Kanak-Kanak Selangor’ to ‘The Little Yellow Stars’ in conjunction with this also the official launching of the new extension bedrooms, new bathrooms and food storage area. Taking this opportunity during this festive season we had put up a heart-warming and joyous party at the home. The festive spirit was in the air as we gathered to celebrate the season of giving and togetherness with the children and caretaker of the orphanage.
The organising team headed to the home earlier to setup the decorations, setting up food and gifts tables. Volunteers and children alike adorned the space with twinkling lights, colourful ornaments, and 2 magnificent Christmas trees that stood as the entrance of their home. The atmosphere was filled with laughter, holiday music, and the excited chatter of the children.
The event was special that we have the Taiwan District Kiwanians visiting as well. As all arrived, we kicked off with our Santa riding down the road with his huge beautiful motorbike coming in greeting the children. While Santa is busy chatting with everyone, we have the meals given out to the children. By request they had McDonald’s value meal sets for their lunch and as for desserts we have some ice cream sticks, apple strudel and also some chocolates. The children enjoyed the meal with glee, their faces lighting up with every bite.
After the meal, the children queued in line to collect their presents, then entertainment began.  They gathered round to play games and more gifts were given. There were performances by the children, who sang Christmas carols that brought smiles to everyone's faces.
We also took some time taking a tour of the home with our Taiwan delegates, showing them the new bedrooms and bathrooms that we have built for the children. We also look at the new food storage area where the racking is sponsored by Hyperack, appreciate their contribution.
As the event came to a close, it was evident that the day had been a resounding success. The children were beaming with happiness, and the volunteers were filled with a sense of fulfilment and gratitude for the opportunity to bring joy to these young lives.
Our annual Christmas party with the orphanage is more than just a celebration; it is a reminder of the importance of community, kindness, and the spirit of giving. We look forward to continuing this cherished tradition for many years to come, creating lasting memories and spreading love during the festive season.

Hospital Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Children's Christmas Party 2025

On Sunday, 21st December 2025, the Kiwanis Club of Klang once again brought festive cheer to the children and families at Hospital Tengku Ampuan Rahimah. What began as a tradition has grown into a cherished moment of joy, where Santa, LaLa the Clown, and our members filled the wards with music, laughter and the spirit of giving. Every smile, every sparkle in a child’s eyes reminded us that the true magic of Christmas lies in love shared freely. This year’s celebration, we honored Head Nurse Sister Matron Ann, whose steadfast partnership has made these gatherings possible year after year. Her compassion, gentle strength and support have touched countless lives. As she joined us for her final event before retirement, our hearts were full of gratitude. Sister Matron Ann, thank you for walking beside us in service. May your new chapter be blessed with joy, health, and peace. You leave behind a legacy of kindness that will continue to inspire. Adding to the joy, members from our newly formed Kiwanis Club of Klang Synergy joined us for the first time, bringing fresh energy and heartfelt dedication. These fine gentlemen and ladies prepared and wrapped gifts with great care, ensuring that no child was left out. Their thoughtful contributions lit up the children’s ward, proving that when hearts unite, every corner can be filled with warmth and hope. Equally moving was the joy reflected in the faces of the nurses and medical officers, who give so much of themselves in long hours of tireless care. To see their smiles as we visited was a reminder that the world’s greatest feeling is to be appreciated. To all of you who serve with courage and compassion in both ordinary and trying moments, we wish you good health, peace and strength. Your devotion is the quiet miracle that sustains this hospital every day. May we continue this tradition of service, ensuring that the hospital’s children and families experience the magic of Christmas for many years to come.

NEW READING SPACE ALERT! | KCV x BFBW x MENARA ALFA 🚀 Yesterday, we quietly opened our 4th collaboration between Kiwanis Club of Visionaries (KCV) and Books For A Better World Sdn Bhd For A Better World (BFBW)… this time at Menara Alfa, Bangsar. Another cosy corner for the community to discover books, relax, and just breathe a little — all powered by the simple belief that every book deserves a second life, and every person deserves access to stories. Huge thank you to Menara Alfa for partnering with us to make this beautiful reading space a reality. This space is fully self-service, trust-based, and supports BFBW’s literacy mission, where every book purchased helps fund programmes for children and underserved communities. To my amazing KCV team: once again, we did it. One space at a time, we are building a more literate, connected and compassionate Malaysia. If you’re around Bangsar, come visit. Sit, read, recharge. And if you spot me there… I’m probably rearranging books again. 😅
