Moderated by a panel of professionals – including a psychologist, education specialist and motivational speaker - this conversation promises depth, relevance and practical takeaways to foster collaboration, share experiences and develop effective strategies to support young adults in achieving educational success and building meaningful career pathways.

Shirlyn Lim
Mental Health Speaker, Licensed Brain Health Trainer, Certified Nutrition Coach, HRDC-Accredited Trainer. Shirlyn brings years of experience in helping high performers manage stress and maximise productivity through evidence-based brain optimisation strategies.
Kristy Yong
Licensed Physiotherapist (Australia Counselling Association), HRD Corp Accredited Trainer Kristy is a licensed psychotherapist whose professional journey spans special needs education. Forensic counselling and community mental health. She has worked extensively with individuals facing challenges such as self-esteem issues, anxiety, depression and complex family - dynamics. Driven by a passion for mental well-being, Kristy is dedicated to supporting the Malaysian community through personalised counselling, impactful workshops and mental health advocacy.

Hema Malini Sivalingagam
With over 25 years of experience in education, coaching, and leadership training, Ms. Hema specialises in creating student-centred learning environments and empowering educators to lead meaningful change. Her areas of expertise include curriculum development, teacher mentoring, capacity building, and student engagement—driving impactful initiatives for educational transformation.

Neil Stoneham
Neil is a senior trainer and executive coach at Vextree Ltd delivering leadership and management training, as well as professional copywriting services to major corporations worldwide.

25th LNY Senior Citizen’s Luncheon 2026 Since 1998, the Kiwanis Club of Johor Bahru has proudly hosted the Lunar New Year Luncheon, a cherished tradition that brings festive joy and community spirit to life each year. On 25 January 2026, the celebration will be held at Loon Sing Restaurant, Taman Daya, where we are honored to welcome 350 elderly guests from Johor Bahru and its surrounding areas. This annual luncheon is more than a meal. It is a gesture of care, respect, and togetherness, ensuring that our elderly community members feel valued and celebrated during the festive season. Guests will enjoy a sumptuous Lunar New Year banquet, complemented by a vibrant program of entertainment designed to create laughter, warmth, and lasting memories. Highlights include the Hua Tiong JB Dragon Team, the delightful Big Head Doll performance by Pak Siang JB and a lineup of volunteer singers who will bring festive cheer through music. Adding to the joy, the Johor Bahru Key Club and Circle K’ers will prepare engaging games and prizes, ensuring our elderly guests are entertained and celebrated throughout the afternoon. For more than a decade, Magic Cut Salon volunteers have generously offered their services to our elderly guests, helping them look and feel their very best for the occasion. This thoughtful act of kindness, combined with the festive atmosphere, embodies the Kiwanis spirit of service, compassion, and celebration making the 2026 Lunar New Year Luncheon a truly joyful and unforgettable experience for all.
