Spreading Sweetness with Purpose!
🍪 Spreading Sweetness with Purpose! 🍪 Our Kiwanis Club of Visionaries (KCV) members recently carried out a small but heartfelt community project — donating 720 packets of chocolate chip cookies to the children of The Assemble Soup Kitchen (TASK). 💛 Behind every packet is a message of care and kindness — a reminder that even simple gestures can bring smiles and hope to those who need it most. A big thank you to all our Visionaries who made this possible — proof that when we come together, we can make a difference one cookie (and one child’s smile) at a time! 🍪✨ #Kiwanis #KiwanisMalaysia #KiwanisVisionaries #CommunityService #Visionaries #TASK #GivingBack #ServingTheChildrenOfTheWorld

Photo from our recent KCV Networking Session
Photo from our recent KCV Networking Session Yesterday we had the honour of hosting Dietitian Mary Easaw, and oh, what a session — she walked us through the principles and practice of mindful eating. A little about Mary’s background (so you know why her talk was gold): • She is the Consultant Dietitian at Cardiac Vascular Sentral Kuala Lumpur (CVSKL) and KL Integrated Oncology Centre (KLIOC). • She has over 30 years of experience in the field of dietetics in Malaysia. • In 2016, she was named Outstanding Dietitian of the Year by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics — the first Malaysian to receive that honour. • She frequently shares her expertise in public talks, hospital forums, and media on topics such as heart health, nutrition, and behaviour change. During the session, Mary reminded us that mindful eating is more than just what we eat — it’s how we eat, how present we are, how we recall and reflect. She led us through simple reminders: slow down, savour, pause, feel fullness cues, and most importantly, forgive yourself when you don’t always follow “perfectly.” If you missed this one — no worries. Stay tuned for our next KCV networking event. You’ll want to be there to listen, learn, and connect. A big thank you to Mary for her wisdom, and to everyone who joined and contributed to the energy yesterday. Let’s keep practising kindness — to others and to ourselves (especially at mealtimes). 🙏 #KCVNetworking #MindfulEating #HealthAndWellness #Dietetics #ProfessionalGrowth #CommunityEngagement

Green Generation Camp 2025
Hellooooo there... It’s been a while since I last posted because I’ve been pouring my heart and soul into something truly special. Although this isn’t the first time our club, Kiwanis Club of Klang, has organized a youth camp, this marks our 9th edition. 😅😅 And what a journey it’s been! Last year, we reimagined the entire concept and ideology, transforming our 8th camp into the first ever Green Generation Adventure 2024 (GGA 2024). A bold rebrand aligned with the Kiwanis Asia Pacific Chair’s theme: Green Generation. We hosted 70 youth and 30 volunteers at Mantin Forest Art Farmstay, focusing on participants from underprivileged B40 families and orphanages, while still welcoming paid youth from our Kiwanis Social Leadership Program that we have nurtured through clubs and schools over the years. This year’s Green Generation Adventure 2025 (GGA 2025) was a leap of faith. A bigger vision, a bolder plan and a deeper commitment to impact. 🎯 Target 1: Empower 150 youth participants and recruit 50 volunteers Our goal was to engage 150 youth, primarily from underprivileged B40 families and orphanages, supported by 50 dedicated volunteers. We personally visited orphanage homes to extend invitations and to our surprise, most said yes! For many of these children, it was their first-ever youth camp, and their first time staying away from home overnight. 😱😱 To ensure comfort and care, we also encouraged each home to send caretakers or volunteers along for the journey. 🎯 Target 2: Rebuilding an entire program Each activity, every moment are custom tailored for a wonderful 3days, 2 nights experience. 🎯 Target 3: Secure funding. With a mix of grace and grit, we secured a generous grant from the Kiwanis Children’s Fund. Our longtime sponsors, seeing that we had doubled our headcount, responded in kind by doubling their support. Their belief in our mission made all the difference 💚 On 18–20 September 2025, it all came together. We successfully raised enough funds to offer free participation to 138 underprivileged youth and 42 volunteers. A remarkable feat, considering a camp of this scale typically costs RM700 per person, covering meals, lodging, and activities. Every ringgit stretched to create memories, growth and a sense of belonging. 🙏 A heartfelt thank you to all our sponsors, volunteers, venue host, transport providers, and every helping hand who turned this vision into reality. Your generosity, time, and belief in the cause made all the difference 📸 Here’s a glimpse into the journey we created together… From laughter to learning, challenge to connection, these are the moments that made Green Generation Adventure 2025 unforgettable.
