The Kiwanis Down Syndrome Foundation Johor Bahru Centre is a long‑term community project proudly established by the Kiwanis Club of Johor Bahru. In 2025, we celebrate 34 years of service and commitment to children with Down syndrome and their families.
Since its founding, the centre has been dedicated to nurturing children through a specialized Early Intervention Program designed for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers aged 6 months to 9 years.
This program provides structured guidance and care across the five key areas of child development:
- Gross motor skills
- Fine motor skills
- Language development
- Cognitive skills
- Self‑help skills
Through these programs, every child is given the opportunity to grow with dignity, confidence and joy.

Our Mission

To empower children with Down syndrome to reach their fullest potential, while supporting families and raising awareness about inclusivity. Each smile, each step forward and each achievement at the centre reflects the power of collective kindness and service.

Support Jeffery Aw's Stroke Recovery

Our dear friend and fellow Kiwanis member, Jeffery Aw, suffered a serious stroke last Wednesday. He's currently receiving urgent medical treatment and faces a long and challenging journey to recovery, which includes extensive rehabilitation. Jeffery has always been a dedicated and selfless contributor to our community, giving his time, energy, and heart to serve others. He is a Director in the Kiwanis Club of Kota Kemuning, and has also served as Past President of the Kiwanis Club of Pandan Jaya and a past Director of the Kiwanis Club of Bukit Jalil. The costs for his hospitalization, ongoing therapy, and rehabilitation are substantial and continue to increase daily. We are humbly asking for your support to help ease the financial burden on his family during this incredibly difficult time. Every donation, no matter the size, will make a significant difference.
