Country Farms Organic x KCTTDI x TASK

News from Kiwanis Taman Tun Dr. Ismail

Description

Country Farms Organic generously donated 270 cartons of flavored sparkling water (Lychee/Peach) to KCTTDI for The Assembly Soup Kitchen - TASK . Today, we transported the donation from Country Farms' warehouse to the soup kitchen, which operates entirely with volunteers and provides over 500 hot meals daily. These drinks will allow the soup kitchen to serve 6,480 individuals* a nourishing meal alongside a refreshing beverage. Two of our members, one T.A.S.K volunteer, and three external delivery personnel carried out the physically demanding task of transporting the donation. Special thanks to Governor Elect Olivia Chin for facilitating this.
*Correction: These drinks will allow the soup kitchen to serve 6,480 individuals (not 270) #ohmymath

Flood Relief Drive

Our representative Dato' Fatimah Saad was part of the Flood Relief efforts and personally went to deliver the essential supplies. Here's a write up below from Dato'. I was incredibly fortunate to lead the recent Flood Relief Drive organized by the National Council of Women's Organizations (NCWO). Today, we successfully delivered 68 boxes of essential supplies to flood victims in Kota Tinggi, Johor, through the National Disaster Management Agency (NADMA). We're also planning to deliver more boxes to those affected in Pahang later this week. These boxes contain vital items like diapers, sanitary napkins, detergents, headscarves (tudung), underwear for women, and hygiene kits. All of this was made possible thanks to the incredible generosity of individuals, companies, and other non-profit organizations who donated to our cause. A special thank you to KCTTDI for their generous cash donation."

Kiwanis Club Of Klang's Christmas Party At Hospital Tengku Ampuan Rahimah22 Dec 2410Klang

Kiwanis Club Of Klang's Christmas Party At Hospital Tengku Ampuan Rahimah

The warm spirit of the holiday season once again brought us to our annual Christmas visit to the Hospital Tengku Ampuan Rahimah in Klang. This tradition has become an essential part of our holiday celebrations, where we aim to spread joy and hope to the pediatric patients and staff during this festive time. This year will be a special year as we have 11 Taiwan district Kiwanians joining us the visit. It is an honour to have the Governor of Taiwan district and our Governor of Malaysia district to assist us in this event. As we entered the hospital, we were greeted by the Head Nurse Sister Matron Anne, she has done a fantastic arrangement by getting the hospital security to usher the bus of our Taiwan delegates into the hospital and getting her nurses to arrange and allocate the presents to the wards. While we were entering the ward, there stands a beautiful Christmas tree filled with beautiful twinkling lights and festive decorations that adorned the hallways. The atmosphere was filled with a sense of anticipation and excitement. As we walk in to the pediatric wards, we see children faces lit up with smiles as we handed out the gifts. The joy and laughter that filled the room were truly heart-warming. Some of us had a casual chat with the parents who were spending the holidays in the hospital taking care of the child. We shared stories and offered words of encouragement. It was touching to see how our presence brought a sense of comfort and companionship to those who needed it the most. The staff members, who work tirelessly to provide care and support, were also not forgotten. We made sure to express our gratitude for their dedication and hard work throughout the year by giving them some nice chocolates. As we concluded our visit, we couldn't help but reflect on the importance of giving back to the community. This annual tradition reminds us of the power of compassion and the difference we can make in the lives of others. It's not just about the gifts or the festivities, but about the connections we forge and the hope we bring. We look forward to continuing this cherished tradition in the years to come, knowing that our small acts of kindness can create lasting impacts. Merry Christmas to all, and may the spirit of the season continue to inspire us to spread love and joy wherever we go.
