For the last 3 years, Kiwanis Malaysia and MBO Cinemas made a big difference to the lives of children throughout Malaysia. In the first year, we were entered into the Malaysia Book of records for having close to 3,500 less-fortunate children throughout Malaysia.
Due to the global Covid-19 pandemic which affected many businesses in Malaysia, MBO Cinemas was also not spared. Closing down cinemas across Malaysia for at least 6 months, has dug deep into their reserves but it was not enough.
In order to keep themselves afloat to weather out the various Movement Control Orders (MCO) Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) by the Malaysian Government, MBO Cinema’s CEO, Cheah Chun Wai has made a heartfelt plea via their facebook page to “save itself and stick around a little while longer” via their #StayStrongMBOCinemas campaign.
MBO Cinemas have thousands of limited edition merchandise in their stock, which is slow-moving now due to the lack of admissions.
To aid in selling them, MBO will open table sales in their cinema foyer with proper compliance to SOPs from October 30, 4PM-8PM at all MBO locations except:
- Space U8,
- Brem Mall,
- and Kota Tinggi.
1 piece can be bought at RM15, while 4 pieces can be bought at RM50.
Let’s support MBO Cinemas so that they are able to bring the cinema laughter and joy to more Children of Malaysia in the near future!
